Virgin Voyages from Miami: the complete adults-only cruise guide

No kids, no buffet lines, and more than 20 places to eat included in your fare. Here is everything you need to know about sailing Virgin Voyages from PortMiami, plus how InterStays wraps your flights and hotel stays around the voyage.

What makes Virgin Voyages different

Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise line. Every guest, or Sailor in Virgin's language, is 18 or older, and that one rule shapes everything on board.

There is no main dining room and no buffet. Instead you get more than 20 restaurants and eateries, from a steakhouse to Korean barbecue, all included in your fare. Entertainment feels more like a night out in Miami than a traditional cruise show, and the ships themselves are designed like boutique hotels, with sleek cabins, hammocks on many balconies, and a members-only sundeck for suite guests.

Miami is Virgin's home port. The line sails from its own Terminal V at PortMiami, a few minutes from our Brickell office, so you get a calm, quick boarding experience built only for Virgin ships.

The Virgin Voyages fleet in Miami

Virgin's four Lady Ships are sister ships, so the experience is very similar on each. What changes is the season and the route.

Virgin Voyages tips for first-time Sailors

  • Download the app early. You will use it to check in, choose your boarding time and book dining.
  • Pack something red. Scarlet Night is Virgin’s signature party, and almost everyone dresses in red.
  • Budget for gratuities. On newer bookings they are listed separately. Prepaying keeps things simple.
  • Consider a Bar Tab. Prepaid drinks credit often comes with bonus value compared with paying as you go.
  • Bring a passport. It is strongly recommended for every Caribbean voyage.
  • Arrive the day before. Flight delays happen, and the ship will not wait. We can book a hotel close to Terminal V.
