Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences — Saint Lucia

Windjammer Landing has been one of Saint Lucia’s most enduringly popular resorts for more than three decades — long enough that many guests return year after year. The 60+ acre hillside property is laid out like a Mediterranean village, with whitewashed villas in terracotta-roofed clusters stepping down to the beach at Labrelotte Bay. A 24-hour internal shuttle keeps you connected from the hilltop villas to the main beach, pools, and restaurants.

Most guests come for the combination of three things: spacious villa-style accommodations (one-, two-, three-, and even four-bedroom layouts with private pools), an optional but well-regarded Premium All-Inclusive plan that covers seven restaurants and five bars, and a wide-ranging activities program that genuinely caters to families as much as to couples.

The property completed a $50 million renovation that delivered a new spa and fitness facility, refurbished villa interiors, the brand-new beachfront Ocean Point Residences, and an expanded beach. The resort is a member of Leading Hotels of the World’s Leaders Club and has earned Forbes Travel Guide Recommended status for 2026.

FAQs

Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences is located on the northwest coast of Saint Lucia, on a 60+ acre hillside above the crescent-shaped beach at Labrelotte Bay, near Castries. It’s approximately 15 minutes from Rodney Bay and 20 minutes from Castries.

Windjammer Landing is not all-inclusive by default, but offers an optional Premium All-Inclusive Plan. The plan covers à la carte dining at all seven restaurants, premium liquors at all five bars, in-villa dining (selected items), and the resort’s water sports program. The plan requires a minimum 3-night stay and all occupants of a unit must be on the same plan.

The resort has approximately 220 units across multiple categories — guestrooms, suites, one- to four-bedroom hilltop villas, the multi-bedroom Manor Collection, and the newest beachfront Ocean Point Residences.

Many villas have private plunge pools, including all Hilltop Pool Villas (2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom), most of the Manor Collection, and select Residences. The entry-tier guestrooms, suites, and standard hilltop villas don’t include private pools but have full access to the resort’s six shared pools.

Both. The resort is family-friendly by default and welcomes guests of all ages, but also has a strong couples and romance program — including the ‘Ultimate Barefoot Luxury Romance’ Premium All-Inclusive package, in-villa spa treatments, and private dining at venues like Upper Deck. Couples wanting a strictly child-free environment may prefer an adults-only resort instead.

There are seven restaurants: Dragonfly (international/coastal with seafood and sushi), Jammers (Caribbean beach grill), Embers (BBQ and grill lunch), Masala at Embers (contemporary Indian dinner), Papa Don’s (Mediterranean trattoria), Upper Deck (fine-dining steak and seafood), and The Perch at Dragonfly (sunset cocktails and small plates). Five bars round out the program.

Reservations are recommended across all restaurants and essential at Upper Deck. Reservations can be made through the concierge or directly with the restaurant. Some dishes may incur an additional charge even on the all-inclusive plan.

Most international travelers fly into Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), about 60 km / 37 miles south of the resort — approximately a 90-minute drive. George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) is much closer at about 4.7 km / 15–20 minutes, but primarily handles regional Caribbean flights.

Private airport transfers can be arranged directly through the resort or through InterStays. Standard private taxis from UVF run roughly 90 minutes and are typically around USD $95 for up to 3 passengers. Helicopter transfers from UVF to SLU (approximately 10 minutes flight time) plus a short car transfer are also available — useful for guests who want to skip the road journey.

The property is built into a hillside with three levels and no elevator in many areas, which makes some sections challenging for guests with mobility limitations. The 24-hour internal shuttle covers all parts of the resort, and the Coastline category and Ocean Point Residences are positioned closer to the beach and main facilities. Guests with significant mobility needs should contact InterStays before booking to confirm suitability.
