Jade Mountain Resort, Saint Lucia — Sanctuaries with Front-Row Pitons Views

Jade Mountain Resort Saint Lucia

Perched above Anse Chastanet’s 600-acre beachfront estate on Saint Lucia’s southwestern coast, Jade Mountain is one of the Caribbean’s most architecturally distinctive luxury resorts. Twenty-nine sanctuaries — most with their own private infinity pool — open onto uninterrupted views of the twin Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, with no televisions, no telephones, and a personal butler on call around the clock.

Jade Mountain is the architectural vision of Nick Troubetzkoy, the resort’s owner. The design language draws from organic architecture: stone-faced columns rooted into the hillside, individual sky bridges leading to each suite, and a deliberate decision to remove the fourth wall so the landscape becomes part of the room.

The interior finishes lean heavily on natural, locally and regionally sourced materials. Walls are coated in coral plaster quarried in Barbados. Floors and trims are crafted from more than 20 species of sustainably harvested tropical hardwood — including Purpleheart, Greenheart, Locust, Snakewood, Bloodwood, Mora, and Cabbage Wood — sourced from the Guyana rainforest. Window openings are framed with wide tropical wood beams and fitted with movable jalousie louvers, giving guests control over breeze and privacy.

Every sanctuary is intentionally individual. Each one is treated as its own architectural piece, with a distinct pool tile palette, hardwood mix, and furniture selection — so no two stays at Jade Mountain look or feel exactly alike.

FAQs

Jade Mountain sits on a hillside above the 600-acre Anse Chastanet beachfront estate, just outside the town of Soufrière on the southwestern coast of Saint Lucia, near the Pitons UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The resort has 29 sanctuaries in total: 24 with private open-air infinity pools (categories Star, Moon, Sun, and Galaxy) and 5 Sky Whirlpool Suites with a large in-suite tub instead of a private pool.

The categories scale by square footage, pool size, and view orientation. Sky (~1,650 sq ft) is the entry tier with a whirlpool tub instead of a pool. Star (~1,400–1,800 sq ft, 450 sq ft pool), Moon (~1,600–1,950 sq ft, 650 sq ft pool), and Sun (~1,800–2,000 sq ft, 900 sq ft pool) step up in size. Galaxy (~2,000 sq ft, 900 sq ft pool) is the top tier with the most expansive 270-degree southwest panorama.

Twenty-four of the 29 sanctuaries have a private open-air infinity pool. The five Sky Whirlpool Suites have a raised in-suite whirlpool tub for two but do not have a private pool.

The resort is positioned as an adults-oriented romantic retreat, and most sanctuaries are designed for couples. Some larger sanctuaries can accommodate a third occupant. Guests traveling with children should confirm specific room and age policies with InterStays before booking.

Yes. Twenty-four of the 29 sanctuaries are designed without a fourth wall, so the bedroom and living area open directly onto a private terrace and pool with the Pitons view. Despite being open, the suites are completely private. Guests should expect natural breeze, ambient sounds, and occasional insects at night.

Most sanctuaries are open-air and rely on natural ventilation rather than air conditioning. One Sky Whirlpool Suite on the northeast corner has windows and AC and can be requested specifically at booking.

No. By design, the sanctuaries do not have televisions, radios, or in-room telephones. Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, and a discreet in-room device connects you to your butler.

Stays include 24-hour Major Domo (butler) service, daily complimentary yoga at sunrise and sunset, Wi-Fi, complimentary non-motorized watersports, complimentary guided walks, and full access to the sister Anse Chastanet Resort’s restaurants, bars, beaches, and facilities. Specific inclusions like meals or scuba diving depend on your selected package.

Most international travelers fly into Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in the south, which is the closer of the two airports for getting to Jade Mountain. The drive from UVF is approximately 60–75 minutes.

Land taxi transfers and helicopter transfers can both be pre-arranged through InterStays or the resort’s pre-arrival concierge. The road approach finishes with a short unpaved hillside drive up to the property.

Yes. The resort offers wedding, vow renewal, and elopement packages with multiple ceremony venues — including Anse Chastanet beach and the Celestial Terrace. Group weddings can also be accommodated.

It’s regularly cited as one of the most romantic resorts in the Caribbean. The combination of private infinity pools, open-air sanctuaries with Pitons views, butler service, and on-site dining make it especially well suited to honeymoons and milestone anniversaries.

Jade Mountain is not all-inclusive by default, but offers various meal plans and packages — for example, packages that bundle meals, scuba diving, airport transfers, and excursions. InterStays can help match you to the right package for your trip.
